This is a brief plan of my double page spread. I have decided that I want my double page spread to be an interview with a celebrity. In this case, it will be my covergirl. The exclusive interview will be done with Alexa.
Due to the magazine being of a rock genre, I will base the interview around her personal life, upcoming gigs and tours that 'Alexa' might be doing along with possible rumours that are going around. This is because, in all interviews, something new about a celebrity is always revealed. For the photo that I will use on the double page spread, I will have to lay it out covering most of the page, After doing soe research on interview pages such as Kerrang! and even Cosmpolitian, I have picked up on a few techniques that are used when creating an interview double page spread.
Some examples are:
- Having one or more photoshoot-like images on the page.
- Fitting the text around the images on the page.
- Using a quote from the interview as the title of the magazine.
- Placing one or more quotes on the page or over the image to show what the interview includes.
I plan to use these techniques on my own double page spread of my magazine.
