The cover of most rock magazines are usually taken up by various images of singers along with many straplines to completley cover the whole magazine cover. Usually the colour used on certain music magazines reflects the type of genre it is advertising. For example, dark colours used could suggest Rock music whereas light neon colours could reflect a genre such as Electropop or Techno. I am basing my magazine around Rock music so the majority of my colours would be dark but I also want to put a 'refreshing theme' to my magazine. I want to make it a little brighter. The model I will be using will be one of my friends who I will dress up in leather, dark clothes, with bright lipstick and smoky eyes. I want to shoot a picture that shows that the model is the one in control of the cover. I will be posing my friend as 'the' celebrity of the cover. Before I shoot my cover, I have done some analysis/research on Rock magazines.
